Position Overview
Academy of Our Lady, a Catholic, all-girls secondary school in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Mathematics Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be committed to the school's mission of educating the "whole child"—spiritually, intellectually, and socially—while fostering an environment of academic excellence and Christian leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction: Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lessons for courses which may include Basic Math, Pre-Algebra, or Algebra

Faith Leadership: Integrate Catholic values into the classroom and participate in the spiritual life of the school community (Mass, retreats, and prayer).
- Student Support: Provide consistent feedback and academic support to ensure all students reach their fullest potential.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Math Department and faculty to maintain a cohesive and challenging curriculum.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education.

Certification: Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification) with a math endorsement is preferred
- Experience: Previous teaching experience is preferred, specifically within a Catholic school environment.
