Early Childhood Assistant Director
St. Angela Merici School – Early Learning Center
St. Angela Merici School is seeking a dedicated and faith-filled Early Childhood Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our Early Learning Center. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for our youngest learners while upholding the mission and values of our Catholic school community.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Director works closely with the Early Childhood Director and school administration to oversee program operations, support teachers, ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, and foster strong relationships with families.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily management of the Early Learning Center program (PK2–PK4)
- Support and coach teachers in best practices for early childhood instruction and classroom management
- Ensure compliance with all state licensing regulations, ratios, and safety requirements
- Help maintain accurate records, student files, and required documentation
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and program expectations
- Assist with staff scheduling and classroom coverage as needed
- Promote a positive, faith-centered environment aligned with Catholic teachings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Previous experience in early childhood education required; leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of state licensing requirements and early childhood regulations
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and administration
Hours: 7:30am-3:30 pm
